A New Home, A New Beginning β Celebrating the Opening of Wanggulay
A landmark moment in Djarragun College’s history.
We were honoured to officially open Wanggulay, our purpose-built boys’ boarding precinct, alongside our students, families, Elders, Board members, community partners and distinguished guests.
More than just a boarding house, Wanggulay is a culturally responsive home away from home where young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men are supported to grow as learners, leaders and future role models for their communities.

Cairns Libraries invites children, teenagers, and families to participate in their upcoming September School Holiday Program, running from 19 September to 4 October.
This yearβs theme is: Future Makers: Imagine. Create. Discover.
Through STEM, arts, storytelling, gaming and hands-on creative activities, the program encourages young people to explore new ideas, build skills, develop their creativity and connect with others in a welcoming library environment.
